Regardless of the material, all castings have requirements in the following major aspects:
I. Material requirements. Mainly hardness, tensile strength, elongation, and impact toughness.
II. Dimensional accuracy and geometric accuracy. Different castings have different requirements, using different dimensional and geometric tolerance standards and tolerance grades.
III. Acceptance requirements for other casting defects based on usage requirements. Such as blowholes, sand holes, shrinkage cavities, shrinkage porosity, slag inclusions, sand inclusions, cracks, etc.
IV. Requirements for defect repair
